Equivalence PM

Introduction :

The principle of the strategy to build the demonstration of equivalence (use of automatic methods to measure PM, e.g. microbalance and Beta absorption) is as follows :

• The results of several national campaigns are shared, in order to produce a large scale database in terms of geography, meteorological conditions, composition of ambient air
• The minimum requirements for membership is to organise or support a campaign and to provide the data
• Each member of the network will write his own report to EC using 4 campaigns from the database

To achieve these objectives, the main frame is the elaboration of a campaign database. This database will gather the results of the campaigns (as an excel file) and also the demonstration that the measurement was achieved following state of the art methods (“Guidance” document and pr EN14907).
